Confucianism and The Analects

Confucianism is a Chinese ethical and philosophical system developed from the teachings of the philosopher Confucius. It focuses on human morality and wrong action. It is a complex system of moral, social, political, philosophical, and quasi-religious thought that has had tremendous influence on the culture and history of East Asia. The basic teachings of Confucianism stress the importance of education for moral development of the individual so that the state can be governed by moral virtue rather than by the use of laws. It also states the idea of respecting elders to live in harmony.

My opinion about Confucianism is that if we could learn here in Guatemala the teachings of that culture we would be in better conditions. I think Confucius had great teachings about life, it is important to follow his sayings because it creates harmony and respect in a community.
It would be nice to apply this knowledge to this country. He was right; human beings have the common sense to learn without being pushed by laws as we are used too. It would be nice to apply this knowledge to this country.
